Weekly Swim Update

Another pretty good swim class today. Here's a couple videos as promised. The first one is of Aayla being super excited about standing up by herself in the shallow end of the pool! The second one is her swimming underwater to the teacher.

Fun With New Toys...

Here's a few pictures of Aayla building a "Max Train" (her words). Thanks Stacie and Garrett for a great birthday gift! She loves playing with these blocks!!

Weekly Swim Update

HUGE SMILE :) Today Aayla swam under water, through a hula hoop and up to Jonathan (swim teacher) on the other side. Not once, but THREE times!! She even started diving under the water by herself (and loving it!). I'm hoping to post a video next week.

Another Busy Week...

Tuesday we had our 2nd annual trip to Oaks Park with the boys, Aunt Jody, and Grandma. Aayla had a blast! She rode the motorcycles, the cars, the airplanes, and the big slide! Although I couldn't get many pictures of her smiling, she loved the rides. She said "Again!" every time the rides stopped!

Wednesday evening we joined Don's company for a Beaver's baseball game (Aayla's second time to PGE Park). She had the most fun walking up and down the stadium stairs with her daddy!

Friday morning we had another very successful swim class and in the evening we celebrated the marriage of our good friends Stacie and Garrett. Congratulations to you both!! We love you!!

A Fish in the Water

Aayla had a great swim class today (this was the 4th class). There was no whining, no tears, and no wanting out of the pool!! She went under water over 5 times and not one meltdown!! She didn't even mind the swim teacher talking to her!! Yippeee!! After the last couple of classes ended in tears and Aayla wanting to go home, I was starting to wonder if she would ever get used to our new swim class and the instructor. We had such a good time today, we are going to go to open swim tomorrow... just for fun!

A Busy Birthday Week

Grandpa and Grandma Jensen arrived from Arizona on Tuesday last week. We took a trip to the Oregon coast on Thursday. Friday night we all went to the Oregon Zoo for a concert. Aayla loved the concert. She had fun seeing all the people and dancing to the music. Saturday we had her Little Einsteins birthday celebration. She had a great time turning 2! Today... we are resting!!
