Who Eats Applesauce With A Fork?

The other night I asked Aayla what color fork she was using and she busts out giggling..."Silly mama! It's not a fork, it's a spoon!". She thought this was the most hilarious mistake ever! We, of course, repeated the game for over half an hour and even managed to get some true giggles on tape!

Aayla's Gift To Mommy

Aayla and I are so excited to go pick up Jenn from the airport tomorrow.  Here is Aayla making Mommy a special gift from Valentine's that Annie was nice enough give us (thank you Annie, we owe you big time.)

Tumble Tots Tuesday

We have had a busy Tuesday morning today. Still missing Jenn till Thursday. First, we went to to tumble tots and Aayla was very amused when "Daddy went to the wrong building." We played with hula hoops, T-ball, bouncy ball, and did the normal tumble exercises. We had a great time and I'm glad we are getting a head start working on our listening skills and following directions because Aayla can be a handful when she gets something in her head.  Then we went to the gym for a whole hour and Aayla even got to run around on the basketball court. Here she is singing "Oh MacDonald" and dancing around.

We Miss You Mommy

Well it's been a while since my last post, Jenn is in Vegas and Aayla and I are  having a great time. We have been very busy, Monday we went to the gym for 50 minutes and Aayla was happy as can be.  This is a big deal because these workouts usually end up only being 10-20 minutes.  Then we went to my Doctors appointment and shopping at Trader Joe's.  After Aayla woke up from her nap, we went to the park but the road was closed.  After getting lost in a detour, we played in the back yard and Aayla had a special message for Mommy.

Happy Heart Day

We had a quiet Valentine's evening at home this year. Don, Aayla and I enjoyed a yummy home cooked meal. I was busy packing, as I leave for Vegas tomorrow morning for a veterinary conference. Don has the week off to spend with Aayla. I must admit I am already a little sad to leave.... I have never been away from my sweet little girl for more than one night. I will be in Las Vegas until Thursday afternoon. The three of us will enjoy breakfast tomorrow at the Black Bear Diner and then Don and Aayla will drop me off at the airport. Don intends to post some blogs for me (and all of you!)... let's see how he does!! Happy Valentine's Day from our family to yours!

We missed art class this week because of a memorial service for my aunt... but here's a picture of Aayla doing her most favorite activity... painting at the easel!

Time For A Trim

Aayla had her very first haircut this past weekend. After art class we headed to our friend Brianna's salon for a mommy-daughter hair cut extravaganza! Aayla did great! No tears, no whining, just a little squirming (we'll cut her some slack... she is only 2!).
