A Challenge!

Every year the veterinary hospital I work for hosts a staff retreat. This year we all rode a big yellow bus down to Newberg to visit Camp Tilikum. We participated in many team and relationship building activities, including a ropes challenge course. Our challenge involved climbing up a very, very tall tree to a small platform and jumping off and out to a trapeze. We were harnessed to a rope that our teammates held. Well, I made it to the platform and managed to scoot myself off the edge (there was NO jumping)! I was lucky I didn't have a heart attack!! It was so scary but I was glad I did it!

Just starting off...

Halfway there...

Almost to the top...

I made it to the platform!

Being lowered to the ground by my awesome work friends...

I am so grateful to work with such amazing people! We all had so much fun we are already planning our return for more challenges, this time with our significant others. Stay tuned...

New Swim School

Here's a quick video of Aayla jumping off the steps in her new swim school. So far, we absolutely love this place. It's good to be back in the water with her too!

Waiting For More Sun....

We enjoyed a trip to the park with Grandma, Aunt Jody, and the boys during a short sunny spurt not too long ago. Unfortunately, the rain and colder temps have since returned. It sure was nice to get a little teaser of summer weather though!

Happy Dance!

This is a new game that Don and Aayla have been playing together lately. Aayla gives Don a hug or kiss and Don is so excited he immediately does the happy dance! She loves doing the happy dance with Don, and he gets some lovin.... a real win win!

A Visit From Grandma Jensen

Aayla's grandma from Arizona came for a long weekend visit. We had a VERY busy time! Saturday we had breakfast and art class. Sunday we enjoyed a shopping trip to the mall and a visit to the Easter bunny. Monday we had preschool exploration, a trip to the park and an Easter egg dying party at Grandma Carol's with the boys. The kids got early Easter baskets from Aunt Marcia and had a blast playing and eating too much candy! Tuesday we had tumble tots class and headed over to Omsi before dropping Grandma Jensen off at the airport. Whew!!

Aayla loved coloring the eggs... but she loves eating them more!

Easter baskets!
