Crazy Cat!

Miss Millie is growing into quite the princess. She is also a classic example of a bratty, hand raised kitten. It's a good thing she is so pretty and that Aayla is madly in love with her, because she has become a bit of a handful, to say the least!

Little Golfer

Don recently got Aayla her very own little set of real golf clubs. She likes to wash them just like her daddy!
Nothing like a little daddy daughter time on the golf course!

Goofing around! Don even let her drive the golf cart!

Rain Rain Please Come Today

Aayla couldn't get out the door fast enough when she realized it had started to rain.
She loves her new rain gear!

A New School Year

Aayla started a new preschool this year. It is GREAT!! She loves school so much and is always asking how long until she goes again. These pictures are from the open house before school started.
Excited to get inside to see her classroom.

First stop... the library of course!

On to playdough!

Did someone say puppets?

Next comes the sand pit.

Time for some house play.

Our first teacher parent meeting. AAAAHHHHHH!!!!

Spokane Stop

Aayla and I took advantage of driving right through Spokane, Washington (on our way home from Calgary) and stopped for a night to visit with our good friends Seth, Katie, Ella and finally meet the newest addition, baby Luke. It was a short visit, but great! Aayla and Ella always seem to have so much fun playing together. They are a goofy pair for sure!!

Reading books in bed.

Sweet little Luke

Self portrait time! (Whining and resistance ensues.)

Let's try this again!

(Aayla thought we were taking a "funny face" picture!)

Many thanks to the McKinstry family!! We can't wait to see you all again soon!

Quick Rest In Creston, BC

To help break up the long drive home from Calgary, we stopped in Creston for a couple of nights. Thanks Grandma Dory for housing our small circus, especially during times of renovation!

Road Trip North

Aayla and I traveled north to Calgary, Alberta Canada with Aunt Jody, Grandma and the boys for a family reunion. We all piled into 2 very full, small cars ready for a 2 day road trip. The kids did SO GREAT!! Once we arrived we enjoyed cousin Savannah's 3rd birthday party, playing at the park, checking out new play spaces, riding rides at an amusement park and spending lots of time with our wonderful family.

Aayla, Owen and Savvy admiring the gigantic princess castle cake.

Owen and Matthew driving around the grocery store.

We took advantage of the great weather and took all the kids (aka: "a small circus") to an outdoor amusement park called Callaway Park. It was fantastic!! They had a ton of smaller rides perfect for our group.

Excited kids on the drive to the park.

Part of our "circus" getting ready to hit some rides.

Picnicking in the shade.

The monster trucks were a big hit. I think they rode them 3 times in a row!

An action picture inside the spinning strawberry!

You know it's been a good day when...

A BIG THANKS to Justin, Sonja and Savvy for hosting us, feeding us, and letting us all take over your beautiful home!!

Unfortunately, it seems that cousins Jenn (myself), Tammy, Jyothsna, Justin, Erick, and
Grandpa Bob, evaded the cameras this time. Luckily, we will all visit again at Christmas!

(We missed you Keith and Jim!)

We can't wait to see everyone again for the holidays!!

Yummy Veggies!

Aayla still gets super excited to pick veggies from our garden box. After eating cherry tomatoes right off the vine, she refuses to eat any other tomatoes and insists she doesn't like tomatoes. Apparently, the ones from our garden don't count as real. Funny kid.

Rockin Out!!

(and unhappy with the photo op!)
