Ice Skating...
not so much. Ha! Aayla and I gave it our best shot, but in the end, we left defeated. I don't remember it being so hard... We barely managed to make it around the rink once before calling it a day. My ankles/lower legs were on fire! I am proud of us for giving it a go and will definitely try it again, only with backup next time! Luckily, I was unable to get any pictures! :)

McKinstry Visit!!!
Our good friends Katie and Seth, along with their kids Luke and Ella, came from Spokane for a visit. It was so great to see them and get to know little Luke! Aayla had a blast playing with Ella! They are so similar... such funny, silly little girls! It really was such a treat to get to spend time with them again! We can't wait until summer to visit them in Spokane!!

Love Is In The Air
Happy Valentine's Day!
Aayla chose to hand make her valentine cards this year. I set up her art table with various stickers, stamps and glitter glue thinking she could design each one a little different. Well, she decided that EVERY card had to have one of EVERYTHING I had gotten out for her. Not to mention she wrote her name on the back of each card! We had 22 cards to make for school so you can imagine how much time it took to finish them. It's a good thing we started a week before we needed them!
Writing her name on the back of every card. She's getting pretty good!
Stamping!
The finished product!

Adventures In Roller Skating
My nephew Jadon celebrated his 12th birthday this year with a roller skating party at Oaks Park. It was Aayla's first time on wheels but she did great! It was tons of fun and we can't wait to go again!

Like Father, Like Daughter?!
Aayla has decided to test the waters in golf. We let her pick an activity she wanted to do and as soon as the words "pee wee golf class" left my mouth, there was no changing her mind (and even over dance!!) Bye bye swim suit and hello putter!
Coach Brian helping Aayla with her swing!

Daddy thinks her back swing is a little steep here... ;)

Solo swing........! Fore!!!

And so far, so good. Aayla really enjoys class and is excited to go each week. I was expecting her to get, well... bored. No offense to golfing or anything, but these are 4-5 year olds here and keeping their attention can be a tricky job! I am, however, looking forward to a few Saturdays "off" this summer while Don and Aayla play some golf!!
