lol!!

We had to share this one.... (make sure the volume is on!)

It still amazes me how much joy Aayla can get from such a simple, silly act! What's even more amazing is the effort parents will go to just to get that one little giggle. I once pretended to accidentally drop a plastic cup off the counter at least a dozen times in a row just to hear her laugh. They are potent little creatures, aren't they?

A little more dancing...

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a great day! The Jensen clan sure did! Aayla enjoyed picking through her easter baskets and opening plastic eggs. I think that was the best part for her (well, besides candy)... getting those little plastics "balls" (Aayla speak) open and finding something inside. We had a very nice dinner with Grandma Carol and Papa and then finished the day off with a little more "dancing". Aayla looked especially cute in her new Easter dress... thanks Grandpa and Grandma Jensen!

Dance Till You Drop

OK, so this video looks much worse on the replay. This is Aayla dancing, and what I believe to be her discovery that excessive spinning in a circle leads to dizziness. We were dancing around for about an hour and had so much fun. It must have been her second wind, because when I got home from work, she was not feeling to well. Oh, and please don't try spinning like this at home!

Thanks Daddy...

...for getting up early every day to go to work so that Mama can stay at home with me! You are greatly appreciated and loved!!

A Family Kind of Day

Hey all! Welcome to the first official post by the Jensen clan (by Jenn, really). Won't Don be upset he didn't get the first word in?! We have really enjoyed viewing friend's blogs and thought it would be fun to have one of our own. So, here we are! We had a beautiful day today and took full advantage by taking our little Miss Sass to the park. She loves the park. She loves swinging (on the big girl swing of course!) and sliding and running after the soccer ball and just walking on the trails! She especially loves the benches. Every bench we walk by she says "Ben!" and insists on sitting, even if it's only for a second. Where, I wonder, did the fascination with benches come from? I can't think of anything that we have done to create or even encourage this fascination. That's the crazy, cool thing about watching your little baby grow into a little person right before your eyes. You realize that although you influence them in many ways, they really are their own little being with their own personality, likes and dislikes, and their own agenda! Let's hope we can remember this when she hits her teenage years!
